Ryan Boldery

Owner | Guitar

Ryan Boldery is a professional guitarist based out of the Cincinnati area. He holds a Bachelor of Music performance from Northern Kentucky University and has an extensive performance history that has taken him all over the country. Ryan is well versed in many different styles of music from jazz to modern pop music. While maintaining a strict daily schedule, Ryan serves as the lead guitarist for one of the Cincinnati’s most successful wedding/event bands, “The Touchables.”

Ryan has dedicated his life to his passion and hopes to bring that passion to his students. He originally began the Walton School of Music in 2014 through a local community church; teaching to mainly Walton students. As his classes have grown, he has taken on a new path within his own brand, Boldery Music Academy. He strives to teach his students practice, discipline and success within their own journey.

Nana Darko

Meet Nana Darko, an accomplished music teacher with 8 years of experience in the Northern Kentucky & Cincinnati area. His expertise lies in teaching guitar and piano to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players.

Nana has a deep understanding of music theory and technical proficiency, which he instills in his students through structured lessons and focused practice. He takes a methodical approach to teaching, breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts to help his students learn and improve quickly. Nana's teaching style is highly adaptable, as he tailors his lessons to the individual needs and goals of each student. He takes the time to understand his students' musical tastes and preferences, and incorporates those into his teaching to keep his lessons engaging and inspiring.

Over the years, Nana has helped several of his students become worship leaders and church instrumentalists. He understands the importance of music in worship and is dedicated to teaching his students the skills and techniques they need to excel in that area. With a warm and engaging teaching approach, Nana creates a fun and welcoming environment in his lessons. His love for music is contagious, and he is committed to helping his students develop a lifelong love for music.

Tyler Monell

Tyler Monell is a music educator from Florence, Kentucky. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2018 with a bachelors degree in music education.

While he was there, he played in such groups as the EKU symphony orchestra, jazz ensemble, and bluegrass ensemble. He began teaching private lessons in guitar, bass, piano, voice, and drum set while also touring regularly.

He currently plays bass guitar for Sea of Treachery and sings for his own band Game Show Radio.

Charlie Suits

Saxophone | Clarinet | Flute | Piano

Charlie Suits is a professional woodwind performer and educator based out of the Cincinnati area. He attended Northern Kentucky University for 5 years studying jazz performance and audio production.

Charlie Suits has studied saxophone for over 10 years, performing with over 15 different bands throughout the tristate area as well as running his own wedding band and video game arrangement band Fast Travel. Charlie has studied a variety of styles and genres from performing in different groups such as reggae, rock, funk, jazz, country, bluegrass, R&B, metal, and more.

Charlie focuses on teaching fundamental theory and technique to students so they have the tools to learn anything in their musical journey whether it be auditions, gigs, or just for fun. From performing many different styles of music, Charlie can teach improvisation and ear training as well as reading and arranging music.

Dr. Geniene Piche

Vocal Coaching | Piano

Dr. Geniene Piche earned a Masters in Music Education and a BA in Music performance. She taught music K-12 for 10 years in public schools before becoming a school administrator. With 18 years now in education, she loves teaching students of all ages, skill levels and music styles.

Genienne specializes in beginner to intermediate piano and beginner to advanced vocal coaching.

She has sung with the May Festival Chorus, participated in community theatre, and has taught private lessons.

She is thrilled to serve her local community and looks forward to meeting new students.

Hector Murrieta

Hector Murrieta was born in Mexico City & began his Classical Guitar studies in 1991 at the “Ollin Yolitztli” Academy & the “Escuela Nacional de Musica, U.N.A.M.” with classical guitar performer Juan Carlos Laguna. He also studied with classical guitarists Gonzalo Salazar, Carlos Bernal & Antonio Lopez, while rounding up his knowledge with jazz lessons by Beto Medina & composition with Ramiro Pastrana & Hector Guerrero.

He also received classical guitar master classes with Sante Tursi (Italy), Ignacio Rodes (Spain), David Tanenbaum (USA), Robert Guthrie (USA), David Leisner (USA), Manuel Barrueco (Cuba/USA), Thomas Kirchoff (Germany), Dale Kavanagh (Canada), Ulrich Stacke (Germany) & Pavel Steidl (Czech Republic).

In 1998 he was granted a scholarship by The California State University to attend the Summer Arts Guitar & Lute Institute, where he studied with the L.A. Guitar Quartet, Benjamin Verdery & David Tanenbaum.

As a professional musician, he has done countless interviews & radio shows at Radio Education, Radio UNAM, IMER, Radio Mente Abierta & many others. He also performed in many festivals such as the “XI Festival Internacional de Guitarra de la Ciudad de Mexico”, multidisciplinary events such as “1st Poetry Book Week” (alongside renowned poet Jaime Sabines), & many solo recitals in different halls such as Centro Nacional de las Artes, Castillo de Chapultepec, Bellas Artes Fine Palace of the Arts, Centro Cultural Helenico, Universitario Contemporaneo de Arte (M.U.C.A.), Escuela Nacional de Artes Plasticas —all in Mexico City— & other venues around the USA, Germany & England, where he also performed premieres of pieces written by composers such as Lou Harrison & Peter Sculthorpe.

He released his first classical guitar album in 2007, “De Oriente a Occidente: Musica del Siglo XX". His second album “Entre Senderos" was released in 2009 - This record was distinguished by becoming part of the "Frank Martin House” archive in Switzerland, as a musical source for students, musicologists & musicians interested in the author’s works. His next record, “Ascension: Music of the Baroque” was released in 2012 & featured transcriptions/arrangements by Hector himself for pieces such as “Suite in A minor BWV995”, “Suite in E minor BWV 996” & “Suite in D major BWV 998” by German composer J.S. Bach.

In 2013 he joined the interdisciplinary group “Corazon Danza” theater company alongside dancer/choreographer Dora Hagerman, performing original works such as “Homenajes y/o Historias de amor” in Havana (Cuba), Barcelona (Spain) & Mexico City (Mexico). In 2013, he & Dora created the interdisciplinary/experimental group "Komorebi" & performed original works such as “Hikari” (which included music by Alex Shapiro (USA), Elliot Sharp (USA), Tristan Murail (France) and Hector himself). They received grants from institutions such as Prince Claud (Switzerland) to perform in Indonesia (2015), & personal invitations from festival of the arts director Mr. Tetsuya Fuchigami to perform in Osaka, Japan (2018). Komorebi also had many performances in art festivals around Canada, USA, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Cuba, & Indonesia.

Currently Hector creates music for many different media, be it documentaries, films, video games, short films, etc, in a very wide range of styles that go from Western Baroque to electronic music, minimalism, impressionism all the way to classica western contemporary 21st century music.
